rime of the frostmaiden

We've been playing our rime of the frostmaiden campaign since november 2025, and we meet once per week at my partner and i's condo to play. Our main party is comprised of six players (with one reserve player) and our dungeon master. At present, I only have art for my character, but maybe someday I can properly introduce their characters with art on this page.

the cast of characters

Razz - A gnome fighter with a strength stat of 20.... so he's a really buff gnome.
Leod Record - A dragonborn monk who has taken a vow of silence and thus communicates via throwing dirt on the ground and writing in it.
Fizban - A human wizard with a past... he also has a penchant for going a little insane at times.
Endellion - A human paladin who is perhaps the clumsiest you'll ever meet. She is on the run and a devotee of Ilmater.
Varakan Braveherder - A goliath ranger who serves as the group's guide. He is of the Thuunlakalaga tribe, and has recently been reinstated as their leader.
Sariel Vyshaan (me!) - A sun elf cleric of Lathander - Light domain. She is ardent about her diety, and is secretly a Harper spy.

backstory

Sariel grew up in an elven community that welcomed the dawn with daily ritual, and from a young age she felt a strong pull toward Lathander’s light. She was trained in the ways of being a cleric and eventually found her place among the Harpers, where her optimism and sense of duty stood out. When word spread of rising troubles in Icewind Dale, she was sent north to offer aid and assess the region’s growing dangers on the behalf of the Harpers. She arrived in Ten-Towns just after the Endless Night began, bringing with her a quiet determination to help its people endure the cold and reclaim a sense of hope. She is steadfast in her belief that the Rime CAN be ended and a new dawn can begin. art by furbetti

how it's going

Shortly after her arrival in Ten Towns and after checking in with her contact, Beldora, Sariel put up a posting looking for heroes and adventurers willing to help tackle problems across Ten Towns and work to bring peace. She knew she couldn't handle everything on her own, so she anonymously made the post and arrived at the tavern in Bryn Shander under the premise that she too was answering this call. It was there that she met her party.

The party first worked to find Sephek Kaltro, an agent of Torga Icebane. This leads them to Bremen, where they eventually take out Sephek and come across a group of Dwarves who lost their shipment in the tundra after being attacked by a Yeti.
